They needed a water-filtration plant in the Bronx and, unfortunately, the most viable site was considered to be the Mosholu Golf Course, one of the last large-enough open spaces in the area. Of course, Bronx golfers were instantly up in arms--which is one thing you really don’t want to deal with, especially since the facility also served a lot of underprivileged kids. The solution?
