Cardiff Skates feature a design that allows the user to simply insert and securely strap their feet in the roller skate, and that's it. Cardiff Skates have a three-wheel set-up for movement and a fourth wheel in the rear for breaking. The manufacturer recommends that when using Cardiff Skates that a proper athletic or sturdy shoe be worn for safety reasons. While the unique wheel layout may take a little getting used to, isn't it worth it to roller skate without lugging around shoes? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Sports](https://www.trendhunter.com/sports) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Attachable Roller Skates:** Creating attachable roller skates can be a disruptive innovation for the roller skating industry. - **Compact and Mobile Skating Devices:** Developing compact and mobile skating devices can be disruptive for the transportation industry and bring a new form of eco-friendly mobility to the market. - **Hybrid Sports Equipment:** Combining two different sports equipment can bring new opportunities for the fitness and leisure industry with easier accessibility and fulfilling consumer demands. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Sports Equipment Industry:** This industry can benefit from innovating and modernizing skating equipment to make it more accessible, user-friendly, and portable for athletes and enthusiasts alike. - **Transportation Industry:** Creating compact and mobile skating devices can provide an eco-friendly and efficient means of transportation for short-distance commuters, leading to a possible disruptive innovation for the industry. - **Fitness and Leisure Industry:** Hybrid sports equipment can draw in new demographics and create a new market for people who want to combine different types of physical activities and achieve their fitness goals with ease, leading to a potential customer disruption for the industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [App-Controlled Skates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/appcontrolled-skates.md) - [Walking Assistance Roller Skates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-roller-skates.md) - [Motorized Inline Skate Platforms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/escend-blades.md) - [Rugged All-Terrain Rollerblades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/allterrain-rollerblades.md) - [Motorized Electric Roller Skates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rollwalk-electric-roller-skates.md) - [Electric Inline Skates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atmosgear.md) - [Two-Wheeled Surfing-Inspired Skateboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surf-skateboard.md) - [Aftermarket Stroller Wheel Skis](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wheelblades-xl-stroller-skis.md) - [Skateable Cardboard Shoes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-chaos.md)
