# Plywood Cut-Out Chairs Decorate-Your-Own Seating with Ben Wilson's Chairfix By Tinkalicious | Published 2008-12-28 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-cut-out-chairs-ben-wilsons-chairfix References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/chairfix-junior/) & [buisjesenbeugels.nl](http://buisjesenbeugels.nl/) Ben Wilson is the designer responsible for this clever little creation that he calls the Chairfix. A deceptively simple idea, the Chairfix chair is pre-cut into various parts from a single sheet of plywood. The pieces are then simply snapped out and slotted together to form this great little chair. The Chairfix is available both in adult and junior sizes. The plain, unfinished wood can then be decorated in any pattern or finish your little heart desires. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 55% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Decorate-your-own Furniture:** The trend of customizable furniture allows consumers to personalize their pieces, creating unique and one-of-a-kind designs. - **Snap-together Design:** The trend of snap-together furniture enables easy assembly and disassembly, providing convenience and flexibility for users. - **Sustainable Materials:** The trend of using sustainable materials like plywood promotes eco-friendly practices in the furniture industry. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** The customizable furniture trend presents an opportunity for furniture companies to offer personalized options for consumers, increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty. - **Home Decor:** The snap-together design trend opens up opportunities for home decor companies to create innovative, space-saving furniture solutions for smaller living spaces. - **Eco-friendly Products:** The use of sustainable materials in furniture manufacturing provides an opportunity for companies in the eco-friendly products industry to showcase their offerings and attract environmentally conscious consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Chic Single-Piece Plywood Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/void-lounge-chair.md) - [Simple Assembly Dining Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yugan.md) - [Single-Piece Wooden Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slide-table-1.md) - [Geometric Flatpacked Wooden Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sedia-tonda.md) - [Haute Cohesive Plywood Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peel-chair-by-blond.md) - [Puzzle-Like Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twinsmdf.md) - [Plywood Sculptural Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mt-chair.md) - [Stackable Screw-Free Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-stack-chair.md) - [Simplistically Shaped Geometric Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sitter-chair.md)
