Australian architecture practice Archiblox has created the Archi+ Carbon Positive House, a [prefab house](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whidbey-puzzle-prefab) that isn't merely quick and very affordable to build -- significant advantages on their own -- but is also capable of generating far more energy than it uses.

This house is fitted with a wide variety of sustainability features including a green roof, a [solar array](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/florian-busch-architects), cooking shades and sliding glass doors for maximum sun penetration during the winter.

Sustainability isn't just a fancy buzzword, but it is set to play a central role in design and architecture going forward as the global population figures out how to do more with less. The Archi+ Carbon Positive House is an example of an architectural venture that proves that humans can still lead a quality existence while minimizing their footprint on the environment and their dependence on consumption of fossil fuels.
