Based on childhood memories, the red cape project is a [cardboard installation](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-guitar-1) that features shapes like cardboard wolves to set a scene. Largely based on Little Red Riding Hood, this sharp but whimsical project combines [nostalgia with a futuristic aesthetic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/back-to-basics-ii).

The building process was done by sketching the full scene, including little red riding hood, the three wolves and a crow, then making 3D models of each character for the next phase, cutting the cardboard into every single polygon.

The full set was done by [laser cutting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti), then stapled together. Finally, the creators set the pieces on the outdoors as part of a local design festival. The end result is striking, but also familiar.
