The Canon X Mark I series reveal two new products that deviates from the usual cameras and printers they're known for. Instead, the company is providing [laptop keyboard attachments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bapaco-keyboard) that may prove to be useful in the office environment. The first is a mouse that incorporates [laser mouse technology](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highprecision-computer-peripherals), a keypad and a 10-digit calculator. The second is the same as the former, only it doesn't function as a PC navigator. The whole idea of the X Mark I series is to bring the office worker a new range of desktop accessories that improves efficiency, conserves space and is convenient. With the direction that Canon is going, I'd say they'll break into this market just fine. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 25% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Office Efficiency Accessories:** Canon X Mark I series introduces keyboard attachments that improve efficiency, conserve space, and convenience in the office environment. - **Multi-functional Mouse Technology:** The Canon X Mark I mouse attachment incorporates laser mouse technology, keypad, and calculator for a new range of desktop accessories. - **Diversifying Product Line:** With the launch of the X Mark I series, Canon is branching out of their usual cameras and printers to provide more desktop accessory options to office workers. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Technology:** With the introduction of multi-functional keyboard attachments, technology companies have the opportunity to tap into the office accessories market for improved efficiency and convenience. - **Office Supplies:** The Canon X Mark I series opens up potential for office supply companies to expand their product line and provide customers with more options for desktop accessories. - **Consumer Electronics:** As Canon branches out of their traditional camera and printer products, consumer electronics companies may want to explore diversifying their product line to enter into new markets. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Slick Design-Forward Calculator Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/design-calculators.md) - [Functional Design-Driven Keyboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/satechi-slim-ex-series.md) - [Workflow-Focused Productivity Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mx-creative-console-1.md) - [Creative-Centric Control Consoles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creative-console.md) - [Professional-Targeted PC Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cherry-keyboard-and-mouse.md) - [Professionally Modernized Hardware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slim-wired-combo.md) - [Camera and Lens Announcements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lens-announcements.md) - [Chunky Productivity PC Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/azio-izo-collection.md) - [Industrial Sci-Fi Keyboard Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keysme-lunar-02.md)
