# Piped Perimeter Seating The Canisse Divano Collection Surrounds You in a Wall of Garden Stalks By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-02-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/canisse-divano References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/006047.html) & [serralunga](http://www.serralunga.com/product.htm?lang=en&prod=Canisse) There are great design opportunities and inspirations when decorating outdoors, given the abundance of organic forms, colors and details that could potentially be emulated or complimented by an imaginative arrangement of [patio pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inside-collection). The Canisse Divano [sofa and armchair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/africa-collection) embody some of [nature's formal properties](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plumeya-collection) to speak the aesthetic language of a cozy private garden. Both Serralunga pieces are surrounded in enclosures made of seemingly tight-packed rows of vertical canes. Assembled in a cluttered cluster of subtle angles and varying heights, the tubular stems appear to mimic the thick shoots of bamboo or the repetitious lines of reeds. The Canisse Divano collection by Philippe Nigro manifests these ideas of privacy and nature's exquisitely untidy progression for an enchanting place outdoor repose. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 12% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Organic-inspired Outdoor Decor:** Design opportunities arise from emulating and complimenting organic forms, colors, and details in outdoor decor. - **Enclosed Patio Furniture:** The use of enclosures made of vertical canes offers a unique aesthetic in patio furniture. - **Nature-inspired Aesthetics:** Mimicking the thick shoots of bamboo or the repetitive lines of reeds can create an enchanting outdoor space. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can explore new designs and materials for creating organic-inspired outdoor furniture. - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can incorporate the trend of enclosed patio furniture into their product offerings. - **Landscape Design:** Landscape designers can use nature-inspired aesthetics to create visually appealing outdoor spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Cushioned Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pod-outdoor-seating.md) - [Calm-Centric Furniture Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/news-collection.md) - [Enveloping Sofa Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perron-pillo.md) - [Curvy Segmented Outdoor Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/segmented-outdoor-sofa.md) - [Vibrant Modern Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-grande-muraglia-outdoor.md) - [Colorful Modular Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mangas.md) - [Dynamic Open-Air Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2024-outdoor-collection.md) - [Capacious Outdoor Sofa Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/africa-sofa.md) - [Tree-Inspired Modular Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orixe.md)
