The Powerhouse Company collaborated with Inter.National.Design (IND) on this proposal, winning the competition to create an [enormous antenna](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vga-water-tower) in the undulating landscape of Çanakkale, Turkey. The building had to incorporate gallery-style spaces and recreational facilities as well. The finished skyscraper wraps around its hilltop like an orange ribbon with the two ends seeming to come together into a point that rises up to a height of 100 meters. The loopy lower level of the Çanakkale Broadcast Tower has been raised off of the ground, touching the earth and forest lightly. The sinuous structure sculpts [observation decks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/telepresence-observation-pavilion) reminiscent of a boardwalk, leading to [indoor exhibition areas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portlantis) on the other end of the circuit. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/architecture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multi-functional Architecture:** The Canakkale Broadcast Tower combining a range of programs in one design presents opportunities for architects to design innovative and functional structures. - **Organic Structural Design:** The sculpted structure of the Canakkale Broadcast Tower presents an opportunity for designers to create organic and curvaceous structures. - **Sustainable Architecture:** The Canakkale Broadcast Tower's elevated lower level lightly touching the earth presents opportunities for architects to design environmentally sustainable buildings. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** The Canakkale Broadcast Tower presents opportunities for innovation in architecture by using multi-functional, organic and sustainable designs. - **Construction:** The unique design of the Canakkale Broadcast Tower presents challenges and opportunities to construction companies to build the tower using sustainable materials and techniques. - **Tourism:** The indoor exhibition areas on the Canakkale Broadcast Tower present an opportunity for the tourism industry in Turkey to open up a new attraction for visitors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nature Hyperboloid Observation Towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/observation-tower-krven.md) - [Stacked Pebble-Inspired Towers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calais-port-tower.md) - [Feminine Silhouette Tall Buildings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/telus-sky-tower.md) - [Twisted Concrete Tower Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alta-tower.md) - [Single-Clad Alps Viewing Tower](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/top-of-alpbachtal.md) - [Distinctive Airlifted Structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/karka-tower.md) - [Gracefully Dynamic Skyscrapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bond-tower.md) - [Organic Striking Tower Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leaves.md) - [Remote Viewing Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/telepresence-observation-pavilion.md)
