The pointed roof cabins are built on log rafts made of tree trunks and supported by barrels. The camping rafts sit directly on the edge of the Steenberg's Vliet river in Holland and can only be accessed by canoe. As they are moored to the rivers edge, campers can enjoy the calming, rocking motion of the water and the soothing sound of waves lapping on the shore while still feeling a sense of security by knowing they are anchored to land. The camping rafts include mattresses and seats for four, gas stoves to fry up those fish caught from the cabin's edge, toilet buckets and lamps (although their use should be minimized at night to keep mosquitoes at bay.) ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 48% | Activity: 77% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Life](https://www.trendhunter.com/life) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Water-based Camping:** Opportunity for businesses to create floating accommodation options for camping directly on the water. - **Eco-friendly Campsite Solutions:** Opportunity for businesses to develop sustainable and low-impact camping rafts using recycled materials. - **Remote Outdoor Experiences:** Opportunity for businesses to offer unique and secluded camping experiences accessible only by boat. ### Where This Applies - **Hospitality:** Innovative accommodations like floating cabins can provide a new and memorable experience for travelers. - **Outdoor Recreation:** Companies in the outdoor recreation industry can develop and rent out camping rafts to adventure enthusiasts. - **Sustainable Living:** There is potential for businesses focused on sustainable living to promote floating cabins as an eco-friendly camping option. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paddleboard Camping Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bajao-cabin.md) - [Waterside Retreat Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bora-boral.md) - [Omni-Position Camping Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/float-tent.md) - [Watersport-Minded Concept Campers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watersport-concept-campers.md) - [Insulated Elevated Camping Tents](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tentsile-insulated-cabin.md) - [Efficient Micro Living Trailers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerocabin-one.md) - [Floating Sauna Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/watercave.md) - [Solar-Powered Pop-Up Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solar-offgrid-cabin.md) - [Forest-Treetop Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/more-cabin.md)
