Featuring a simple shifting design that can become different pieces of equipment as needed, the couch works by incorporating a heavy duty design that works as a traditional couch, a table, [two chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bott-x-helinox), a [sleeping cot](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-mattress) and even a stackable shelving unit. This means that it can be used for some sort of activity at any time rather than simply only being useful some of the time. The REI Snow Peak Camp Couch is lightweight in design and is crafted with a solid build that makes it suitable for extended camping trips to keep you comfortable and organized at all times. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 83% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multipurpose Gear:** Designing gear that can transform into multiple items offers convenience and versatility for consumers. - **Shifting Design:** Incorporating a shifting design allows for adaptability and customization, catering to different needs and preferences. - **Heavy Duty Camping Equipment:** Creating heavy duty camping equipment that is lightweight and durable provides comfort and convenience for outdoor enthusiasts. ### Where This Applies - **Outdoor Recreation:** The outdoor recreation industry can capitalize on the demand for multipurpose gear that enhances the camping experience. - **Home Furniture:** The home furniture industry can explore opportunities to design multipurpose couches that offer functionality beyond traditional seating. - **Outdoor Gear Manufacturing:** Outdoor gear manufacturers have the potential to innovate by developing lightweight and durable camping equipment with versatile features. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Inflatable Campsite Couch Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bote-aero-couch.md) - [Modular Inflatable Gear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conqueror-inflatable.md) - [Collapsible Outdoor Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-outdoor-furniture.md) - [Dual-Purpose Camping Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chair-a.md) - [Durable One-Piece Camping Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-camping-chair.md) - [Durable Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snow-peak-2021.md) - [Luxury Comfort Camping Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nemo-stargaze-evox.md) - [Modular Eco-Sourced Cozy Couches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-transformer-couch.md) - [Multipurpose Camping Shelters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multipurpose-camping-shelters.md)
