# Sleeping Bag Sofas Camp Collection by Stephanie Hornig is Inspired by the Great Outdoors By Meghan Young | Published 2013-05-21 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camp-collection References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2013/05/19/camp-daybed-by-stephanie-hornig/) & [stephaniehornig](http://www.stephaniehornig.com/) The [Camp Collection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/summer-outdoor) is inspired by the great outdoors and one of the main activities modern individuals and groups like to partake in when enjoying such natural surroundings: camping. Nevertheless, each piece in the Camp Collection is meant to be used indoors. Instead of being strange, it is a novel idea that gives rather boring and straight-laced homes a sense of adventure. Designed by London-based designer Stephanie Hornig, the Camp Collection is comprised of a sofa, table and lamp. The couch, dubbed [Camp Daybed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/84-summer-merch), boasts a built-in sleeping bag that allows the user to take a comfy nap whenever they please. The [Camp Table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-couch) has a water-filled base that stabilizes it while the Camp Lamp also acts as a power strip made out of marble. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 29% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Outdoor-inspired Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a line of furniture and accessories that bring the spirit of the great outdoors into the home. - **Functional Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design furniture that serves multiple purposes, such as a sofa with a built-in sleeping bag or a table with a water-filled base. - **Adventure-themed Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop interior design concepts that evoke a sense of adventure and exploration for those who prefer to stay indoors. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate unexpected functionalities into furniture design to appeal to consumers looking for unique and practical pieces. - **Home Decor Retail:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Curate collections of home decor items that embrace nature and the outdoors to cater to the growing demand for adventure-inspired interiors. - **Interior Design Services:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Offer specialized design services that focus on creating unique and personalized spaces inspired by outdoor camping experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Inflatable Tote-Style Seats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bag-sofa.md) - [Novice Camping Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snow-peak-2.md) - [Inflatable Campsite Couch Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bote-aero-couch.md) - [Water-Resistant Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nomad-collection.md) - [Modular Inflatable Gear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/conqueror-inflatable.md) - [Collapsible Timber Sofa Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ospite-folding-sofa.md) - [Technical Camping Capsule Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/and-wander-ss23-camping-collection.md) - [Collapsible Outdoor Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/origami-outdoor-furniture.md) - [Extra-Comfy Campsite Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kammok-ursa-sleep-system.md)
