This particular set pays tribute to the famous Spanish-born architect Santiago Calatrava. Both simple and statuesque, each piece is a stunning recreation of some of Calatrava's more unique designs. Created by Thomas Perrone, the Calatrava Chess Set features six designs in particular: the Tenerife Concert Hall, [Valencia Opera House](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comfortable-theater-seat), Communications Tower, 80 South Street Housing, Fordham Spire and Turning Torso.
