This took place during Milan Design Week this year as the three works are all on display until April 23rd. Adelman speaks about the series, stating “LaLAB is a chance for me to push myself – to let the fantasy work come out. It is about raw development without attachment to outcome. I’ve long been interested in ‘the space between’ – the space between words, between people, between thoughts; the space between things, which is for me as important as the things themselves. LaLAB allows for the physical realization of these ideas; within the tension between what is there and what is not there, is an energetic realm full of opportunity and experimentation.” Image Credit: Lindsey Adelman ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 55% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 15% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Illuminated Installations:** There is an opportunity for businesses to incorporate illuminated installations in their physical spaces to create a unique and captivating experience for customers. - **Organic Shapes:** Businesses in the home decor and architecture industries can incorporate more organic and freeform shapes into their designs to create a more natural and fluid aesthetic. - **Fantasy-inspired Design:** There is potential for businesses in the art and fashion industries to draw inspiration from fantasy and allow for more experimental and imaginative designs. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** Interior design firms can experiment with incorporating illuminated installations into their designs to add dimension and interest to a space. - **Architecture:** Architecture firms can draw inspiration from organic shapes and utilize them in building designs for a more natural and fluid aesthetic. - **Art:** Artists can draw inspiration from fantasy and create more experimental art pieces outside of traditional mediums for exciting and innovative works. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ethereal Oil Lamp Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-realm-of-light.md) - [Ultra-Chic Sculptural Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-lighting-design.md) - [Artfully Liquid-Like Light Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cairn-lamp.md) - [Sleek Structural Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emotional-lab-light.md) - [Illuminated Curtained Light Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/making-the-invisible-visible.md) - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Minimally Designed Ethereal Pendants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightmass.md) - [Material Tensions Collection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/between-the-lightness-and-the-darkness.md) - [Volcanic Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lighting-installation.md)
