The device is designed as a [faceplate for a traditional outlet](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/powerbug) that will offer a dedicated space for cords and cables to be wound up when in use or not being used. This works to keep the unsightly cables and cords out of view, while also preventing them from being a tripping hazard in a living or working space. The 'Cable Cradle' cable management solution is the design work of Andrew Ferrier and can also double as a [phone dock](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nanoleaf-pegboard-desk-dock) thanks to the textured rear section of the unit.
