# Peeking Owl Lighting The 'C'est Chouette' Lamp is Whimsical and Enchanting By Meghan Young | Published 2012-04-24 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c-est-chouette-lamp References: [mymodernmet](http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/peeking-owl-lamp) & [quarch-atelier.blogspot](http://www.quarch-atelier.blogspot.ca/) Inspired by fairy tales, the C'est Chouette lamp is a [whimsical light fixture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fable-lantern) that, in addition to shedding a soft glow, provides a constant companionship in the form of an ethereal owl. It is almost as though this [decorative lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-lebow-table-lamp) has emerged from an enchanted forest. Crafted out of [white porcelain](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-lighting), it is a modern interpretation of a bird cage or, more appropriately, a tree hole home. Designed by Quarch Atelier, a group of young designers in Milan, Italy, the C'est Chouette lamp is comprised of two parts: the bulbous "cage" and the owl light diffuser. It is fit for both adults and children. The C'est Chouette lamp is set to debut at the 2012 International Furniture Fair. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Whimsical Lighting:** Opportunity for creating unique and enchanting lighting fixtures inspired by fairy tales. - **Decorative Home Accessories:** Opportunity to design and produce decorative lamps that add a touch of whimsy and charm to homes. - **Nature-inspired Design:** Opportunity to incorporate elements from nature, like owls, into modern and stylish home decor. ### Who This Affects Most - **Lighting Design:** Opportunity for lighting designers to create whimsical and unique light fixtures. - **Home Decor:** Opportunity for home decor companies to offer decorative lamps that add a touch of enchantment to homes. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate nature-inspired elements, like the C'est Chouette lamp, into their designs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Whimsical Glass Bubbled Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peeka.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Whimsical Bird-Like Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiki-lamp.md) - [Silkworm-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phantom-lighting.md) - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Pasta-Inspired Curvaceous Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neotenic-lamp.md) - [Calming Orb Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orb-lamp1.md) - [Hanging Lantern-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woodo-table-lamp.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/humble-lights.md)
