Michel's lamp is made up of the frame of a [lamp shade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/warp-lamp) and no bulb. Instead, Michel uses a 10w [LED light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-light) hidden in the frame to light the way. Michel's 'Bye Bye Bulb' is meant to be a commentary on Europe's move away from incandescent light bulbs. I love the commentary, but I also love the lamp! This is one of the most [creative lamp designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-lebow-table-lamp) I have seen in a while. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 5% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **LED Lighting:** The trend of using hidden LED lights in innovative lamp designs. - **Sustainable Lighting:** The trend of moving away from incandescent light bulbs and adopting more energy-efficient lighting solutions. - **Creative Lamp Designs:** The trend of unique and visually appealing lamp designs that serve as both functional and decorative pieces. ### Where This Applies - **Lighting Design:** The industry of designing and manufacturing innovative lighting solutions. - **Sustainability:** The industry focused on developing and promoting sustainable products and practices. - **Home Decor:** The industry that encompasses the design and production of aesthetically pleasing and functional home furnishings and accessories. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Hollow Candle-Like Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lampe.md) - [Hat-Like Fabric Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-lamp.md) - [Minimalist Mysterious Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/auge-light-mini.md) - [Minimalist Tech Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delite-20.md) - [Ecological Dual Lampshade Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-light.md) - [Customizable Minimal Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-delta-lamp.md) - [Space-Saving Desk Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacesaving-desk-lamp.md) - [Ultra-Flexible Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anywhereuse-lamp.md) - [Weighted Multi-Position Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-desk-lamp-design.md)
