In honor of Juneteenth, Facebook is highlighting Black-owned brands in a new showcase collection on Facebook and [Instagram Shops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buyblack). This includes a new set of visual templates that help brands raise awareness and show their support. In addition, Kamaro Brown, a cast member of 'Queer Eye,' will host a dedicated video that provides tips on how others can become involved in the initiative.

As explained by Facebook: "The coronavirus pandemic has affected all small businesses, but Black-owned small businesses have been disproportionately affected by higher closure rates, and lower sales. To help shoppers discover and support Black-owned businesses on our platforms, [Facebook Shop](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/facebook-debuts-at-stagecoach) and Instagram Shop will release collections that feature products from Black-owned businesses, under the theme of #BuyBlack."
