It boasts a compact structural design that is made from form clad in [charred wooden materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-bua). The project was commissioned by a couple who run a child-psychology clinic nearby and the [garden studio](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-shack-1) is a private space for studying and as a retreat for their teenage daughter. The studio took on a minimal approach to its design. The studio director Dane Taylor explains that "The existing dwelling sits at the front of the block, with a meandering suspended path connecting the two. This journey from house to studio gently introduces the occupant back into nature from the built environment."
