In addition to launching a cheekily named 'Love Sausage' in advance of February 14th, UK retailer [Marks & Spencer](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/valentines-day-chocolates-1) is catering to vegetarians and vegans with its '[Heart-Beet Burger](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-grain-vegetable-burger)' for Valentine's Day. True to its name, the burger comes in the shape of a heart, as well as the distinctive bright color of beetroot. Alongside roasted beetroot, the festive burger is prepared with sweet onions and offers a fun way to enjoy dinner at home.

For the first time ever, Marks & Spencer is also introducing a [vegan Valentine's dinner](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/viva-las-vegan-chocolate-truffles), which includes a plant-based starter, a main, a side dish, plus dessert, chocolate and a bottle of wine. Like Marks & Spencer, many retailers in the UK are launching entirely plant-based options for special occasions.
