Bulbasaur is one of the more popular Pokemons known for his adorable dragon-like face, turquoise-speckled skin and the bulging green bulb that grows out of his backside. You can easily turn this famous aquatic [anime Pokemon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pokmon-pottery-barn-kids-collection) into a potted planter by following a printable paper-craft model uploaded on the Instructables blog. Get busy with some papier-mâché and bright-colored paints and create your very own Pokemon potted planter. Remember to leave a space along Bulbasaur's backside to fit your favorite potted plant in. Whatever plant you put in, it will cleverly replicate Bulbasaur's iconic bulb back. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 41% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [DIY](https://www.trendhunter.com/diy) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **DIY Anime Planters:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create a market for DIY planters that resemble popular anime characters, appealing to fans and plant enthusiasts alike. - **Paper-craft Model:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop a range of printable paper-craft models for various popular characters, enabling fans to create unique planters. - **Geeky Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Tap into the market of geeky home decor by designing planters that cater to different fandoms, combining plants and pop culture. ### Who This Affects Most - **Gardening and Plant Retail:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with garden centers and plant retailers to offer pre-made character planters, expanding their product range and attracting a new customer base. - **Arts and Crafts:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create DIY kits and workshops focused on making anime-inspired planters, appealing to craft enthusiasts and fans of the genre. - **Home Decor and Collectibles:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Partner with home decor stores and collectible retailers to introduce planters shaped like popular anime characters, combining the appeal of decorative items with a functional twist. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Virtual Pet Planter Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plant-pot-concept.md) - [Dinosaur-Inspired Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chiasaurus-rex-planter.md) - [Multifunctional Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/face-plant-planter.md) - [Self-Watering Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vivo-pot.md) - [Plush Plant-Shaped Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amuseable-bonsai-tree.md) - [Anime-Inspired Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/psyduck-teapot.md) - [Elevated Anime-Inspired Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nendo-pokmon-mosaic-collection.md) - [Water-Powered Planter Smart Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planto.md) - [Elegant Anime Decor Furnishings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pokmon-pottery-barn-kids-collection.md)
