# Supercar Speedboats The Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu Speedboat is Perfect for Water-Loving Gearheads By Michael Hines | Published 2011-05-10 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bugatti-veyron-sang-bleu-speedboat References: [autoblog](http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/17/bugatti-grand-sport-sang-bleu-the-last-special-edition-veyron/) & [driven.urbandaddy](http://driven.urbandaddy.com/2011/05/04/bugatti-veyron-sang-bleu-yacht-concept/) I would like to meet the person who is rich enough to be able to afford the Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu Speedboat. Automotive designer Ben Walsh whipped up a [conceptual yacht](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beyond-horizons) based on the Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu, the last [special-edition Bugatti Veyron](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2027-bentley-continental-gt-supersports) ever built. In case you need to be schooled, the Bugatti Veyron is the world's fastest production car ever built. As such, a yacht that is inspired by the Bugatti Veyron is expected to be equally fast, even if it is only a concept. The Bugatti Veyron Sang Bleu Speedboat measures 30 feet in length and looks more like a spaceship than an actual speedboat. My favorite feature of this boat has to be its [paint scheme](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alia-57-yacht), which is modeled after the Sang Bleu. Of course, this yacht will *probably* never come into being, so it's best to enjoy these conceptual shots and wonder "what if?" ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 94% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Conceptual Yachts:** Designing luxury yachts based on iconic cars presents disruptive innovation opportunities in the marine industry. - **Speedboat Design:** Creating futuristic speedboats inspired by high-performance cars opens up disruptive innovation opportunities in the boating industry. - **Experiential Luxury:** Combining the thrill of high-speed cars with the luxury of yachts offers disruptive innovation opportunities in the experiential travel sector. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Marine Industry:** The marine industry can explore the concept of luxury yachts inspired by iconic cars to attract high-end customers and offer unique experiences. - **Boating Industry:** The boating industry can capitalize on designing futuristic speedboats influenced by high-performance cars to appeal to adrenaline-seeking customers. - **Experiential Travel Sector:** The experiential travel sector can tap into the concept of combining the thrill of high-speed cars with the opulence of yachts to create unforgettable luxury travel experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Luxe Jet Skis](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/supermarine-mm01.md) - [Haute Electric Cruising Boats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/persico-zagato-1002-hyperboat.md) - [Customizable Luxurious Superboats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gt-superboat.md) - [Quad-Deck Vehicle Brand Yachts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vnz-lamborghini-mega-yacht-88m.md) - [Ultra-Fast Hybrid Speedboats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hybrid-speedboat.md) - [Sports Car-Inspired Luxury Superyachts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gran-turismo-mediterranea.md) - [High-Performance Hybrid Sports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2026-bugatti-tourbillon.md) - [Riproaring Luxury Yachts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/opulent-luxury-yachts.md) - [Shell-Like Premium Speed Boats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jet-capsule-super-sport.md)
