# Racing Furniture Be On the Edge of Your Seat in the Bugatti Racing Armchair By Jessica Marcel | Published 2009-09-05 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bugatti-racing-armchair References: [nook-sucasa](http://www.nook-sucasa.com/2009/09/bugatti-racing-armchair.html) & [bugatti](http://www.bugatti.com) The [Bugatti](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bugatti-home) Racing Armchair is for those of you who have the need for speed even while you’re still inside your own home. Designer François Azambourg made this chair for Cappellini furniture in Italy as a limited edition tribute to the Italian luxury car. The Bugatti is the lesser known of Italian race cars, its famous siblings obviously including [Lamborghini](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ufo-lamborghini-furniture-pieces) and [Ferrari](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/legoland). But even as the middle child, so to speak, Bugatti holds its own in style and performance. Whether that will also be true of Bugatti-inspired furniture has yet to be seen. The style is sleek and eye-catching, and the construction (from crumpled tin) is unusual to say the least. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Luxury Furniture Design:** Incorporate high-end automotive design elements and materials into furniture design to create unique statement pieces. - **Race-inspired Decor:** Create a new niche market for luxury home decor inspired by iconic race cars and their design elements. - **Sustainable Design:** Use recycled and repurposed materials to create sustainable luxury furniture design inspired by iconic race cars. ### Who This Affects Most - **Luxury Furniture:** Incorporating elements of high-end automotive design and materials into luxury furniture to create unique statement pieces for luxury home furniture sector. - **Home Decor:** Creating a new niche market for luxury home decor inspired by iconic race cars' design elements to add value to home decor sector. - **Sustainable Manufacturing:** Repurpose and recycle materials for luxury furniture design inspired by iconic race cars to add value to the sustainable manufacturing industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Automotive Brand Decor Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bugatti-home.md) - [Supercar-Inspired Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ufo-lamborghini-furniture-pieces.md) - [Driver Seat-Inspired Office Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mercedesamg-office-chair.md) - [Collaborative Racing Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enki-pro-automobili-lamborghini.md) - [Luxe Car-Collaborative Gaming Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pinnacle.md) - [Luxury Automotive Brand Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aston-martin-v244-lounge-chair.md) - [Vehicle Brand Gaming Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volkswagen-gaming-chair.md) - [Premium Ergonomic Gaming Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/recaro.md) - [Automotive-Themed Gaming Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hotrod-gaming-chair.md)
