They were, after all, crafted by creator of cupcake chic, the adventurous blogger Stefani from [Cupcake Project](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ready-to-serve-mimosas). Move over bacon, because there’s a new savory topper in town. Stefani whipped up these spicy and sweet Buffalo Chicken Cupcakes in anticipation of the [upcoming Super Bowl](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tyson-dallas-cowboys-nuggets). These bizarre confections consist of cornbread cupcakes spiked with blue cheese and Franks hot sauce accented with a lush swirl of blue cheese buttercream, and finally topped with a buffalo chicken drumette. The perfect snack to have seat side to help fortify your football fan in moments of celebration or offer sweet solace in the event of a crushing defeat. Strange, exciting and curiously appealing, these Buffalo Chicken Cupcakes are the perfect big snack for the big game. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.4/10 - Popularity: 42% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Spicy Poultry Desserts:** Explore the fusion of sweet and savory flavors in desserts, creating unique and bold taste experiences. - **Creative Cupcake Designs:** Discover new ways to innovate and experiment with cupcake presentations, pushing the boundaries of traditional designs. - **Savory Snacks for Sports Events:** Develop novel savory snacks customized for game-time gatherings, satisfying the cravings of sports fans. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Food and Beverage:** Opportunity for food companies to create new product lines that cater to adventurous taste buds and unique flavor combinations. - **Baking and Desserts:** Innovation possibilities for bakeries and dessert shops to surprise customers with unconventional cupcake creations. - **Sports and Entertainment:** Potential for event organizers and vendors to offer innovative and exciting snacks that complement game-day experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Football-Focused Snack Flavors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheetos-crunchy-buffalo.md) - [Game Day Chicken Bites](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buffalo-chicken-poppers.md) - [Fried Pickle-Topped Tacos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buffalo-chicken-taco.md) - [Dip-Inspired Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/new-buffalo-chicken-sandwich.md) - [Game Day Noodle Flavors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chicken-winginspired-instant-noodle.md) - [Saucy Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crave-hot-dogs-bbq.md) - [Savory Spiced Chicken Pizzas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hunt-brothers-pizza-buffalo-chicken-pizza.md) - [Snack Chip-Flavored Cupcakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cupcake-collection.md) - [Savory Cupcake-Shaped Snacks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pizza-cupcake.md)
