'Bud Bowl' is the name of a stop-motion Super Bowl commercial that aired in 1989 to advertise [Anheuser-Busch's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/budweiser-beer-battered-cheddar-cheese-curds) assortment of [Budweiser](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beer-nfts) beers. While it was aired throughout the 90s and can be found on YouTube today, the commercial starring anthropomorphized Budweiser and [Bud Light](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2024-bud-light-super-bowl) bottles playing football against one another is unfamiliar to younger generations.

However, Anheuser-Busch recently reinvented the Bud Bowl by introducing it as a game on Snapchat. True to the original Super Bowl beer ad, the bottles face off against one another, and players are challenged to pick a play that will hopefully lead them closer to scoring a touchdown.

The interactive Bud Bowl ad game appeared on Snapchat as part of the brand's takeover of the ESPN Discover portal.
