Roderick Vos didn't have sufficient space in its showroom and workspace to include greenery, plus, the expansive area made it difficult to have accessible electrical sockets throughout. Cast aluminium material was used to make [pairs of planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/raindrop-1) that were joined together, and, in the base of each one, a [light fixture was installed](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/biophilic-lighting). The hybrid creation offers two fantastic functions in one. Furthermore, the designers added [power plugs between the hanging planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lightbox-power-strip) that supply overhead outlets to the middle of the room. Each Bucketlight is supported by a reinforced cord that suspends the lush illuminator from the ceiling to complete an ingenious compound idea. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.4/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 98% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Dual-function Products:** The Bucketlight's combination of a flower pot and a light fixture provides a disruptive innovation opportunity for other products that can serve multiple functions. - **Vertical Gardening:** The Bucketlight's design has potential to drive trends in vertical gardening, especially in interior design and office spaces. - **Smart Spaces:** The Bucketlight's integration of power plugs and light fixtures into a hanging planter can inspire innovation in other smart space solutions. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** The Bucketlight's design could transform the way homeowners integrate greenery and lighting into their interior decor. - **Office Furniture & Supplies:** The Bucketlight's space-saving and dual-function design could be a disruptive innovation in the office furniture and supplies industry. - **Sustainable Design:** The Bucketlight's use of cast aluminum and integration of plants and lighting align with the growing trend of sustainable design in various industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Basket-Inspired Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bloom-engine-spot.md) - [Posh Plant-Supporting Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ample-plant-light-n1.md) - [Water-Powered Planter Smart Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planto.md) - [Plant-Supporting Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/led-growlight.md) - [Self-Watering Plant Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vivo-pot.md) - [Outlet-Equipped Workstation Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avro-pendant-lamp.md) - [Indoor Plant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indoor-plants1.md) - [Money Plant-Inspired Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pilea-lamp.md) - [Plant-Friendly Night Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacecrop.md)
