Charlie Masson is a Chicago-based artist who has created a new series of paintings all using the delicate medium of bubble wrap. This bubble wrap art is very reminiscent of the pop art of the 60s; however, Masson’s paintings take pop to a whole other dimension by using the groves and bumps of the bubble wrap to give new dimension to each piece.

Bubble wrap art gives a whole new meaning to pop art, bringing modern aesthetics to an older comic book-based era. These [vintage images and characters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keiichi-tanaami-1) are given new life and remain timeless under the guise of Charlie Masson's completely unique art medium -- bubble wrap.

Charlie Masson describes his using bubble wrap as a way of speaking to the fragility of art and current times.
