# Bizarrely Bent Fish Tanks The 'Bubble Tank' by 'Psalt Design' Has a Surreal Look By Paul Maccarone | Published 2013-09-05 | Updated 2013-11-02 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubble-tank References: [fancy](http://fancy.com/things/264927573/Bubble-Tank-by-Psalt-Design) & [psaltdesign](http://psaltdesign.co.uk/) The 'Bubble Tank' from 'Psalt Design' looks like it's constantly stuck in perpetual motion. The creative design allows for the fish tank to look like it's falling off of where it's placed because the side is sloped downwards. While it's probably not the most versatile piece, it's a surefire way to elevate a room through an unexpected item. If you don't have a fish, the [surreal 'Bubble Tank'](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tea-for-two-collection) could definitely be transformed into something else. To find a tank that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing is a huge plus. The fish tank is made from [premium glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cassina-2) that was hand-blown by a master glassblower. What's amazing about this is that due to how it was crafted, each and every tank will be a unique creation. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Pets](https://www.trendhunter.com/pets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Surreal Fish Tanks:** The 'Bubble Tank' by 'Psalt Design' showcases a surreal design that can disrupt the traditional fish tank market. - **Functional Aesthetics:** The 'Bubble Tank' combines functionality with aesthetic appeal, offering opportunities for disruptive innovation in home decor. - **Unique Artisanal Glassware:** The hand-blown premium glass used in the 'Bubble Tank' presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in the luxury home goods industry. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Fish Tank Market:** The innovative design of the 'Bubble Tank' can disrupt the traditional fish tank market. - **Home Decor:** The 'Bubble Tank' introduces a unique blend of functionality and aesthetics that can disrupt the home decor industry. - **Luxury Home Goods:** The artisanal glassware used in the 'Bubble Tank' presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in the luxury home goods industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Fish Tank-Inspired Japanese Houses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nao-iwanari.md) - [Bubble-Inspired Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubbles-lighting-design.md) - [Dreamlike Bubble-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/airshape-lamp.md) - [Bubble-Shaped Cribs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-bubble-baby-bed.md) - [Whimsical Glass Bubbled Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peeka.md) - [Bubble-Inspired Bulbous Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bubble-stool.md) - [Modern Desk-Friendly Jellyfish Tanks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-jellyfish.md) - [Curvaceous Abstract Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pet-table.md) - [Shimmering Oceanic Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-table.md)
