Design firm SmithMatthias has designed the Bruton sofa system for British brand [Morgan](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lugano-collection). It is a sustainable design with is made with a [foam-free modular touch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lisse-sofa-collection), as it is for the contract market. These spaces are often associated with a clinical feel, so Morgan launched the [modular option](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-furniture-piece) as a more domestic and softer alternative. It comes in single and two-seater modules along with inline coffee table and ottomans.

It is notably made with natural layered materials, including wool, pocket springs, features, and coconut coir. SmithMatthias co-founder Gemma Matthias speaks about the design, "With Bruton, we've pushed traditional upholstery materials, such as springs and wool, to their limits, redefining their use in a contemporary way. This innovative approach brings us full circle, using heritage techniques to drive modern design."
