# Spherical Spaceship Lighting Mood by Annarosa Romano and Bruno Menegon Encompasses Minimalist Chic By Jamie Danielle Munro | Published 2014-03-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bruno-menegon References: [contemporist](http://www.contemporist.com/2014/03/12/mood-by-annarosa-romano-and-bruno-menegon-for-modoluce) & [modoluce](http://www.modoluce.com/) Annarosa Romano and Bruno Menegon went for a [minimalist-chic design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-lighting-design) on this [spherical lamp design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/comet-pendant) titled Mood for Modoluce. Due to the circular shape of the light combined with the bulb in the middle, the modern piece of furniture [resembles a spaceship](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-transformation-lamp). However, that's not to say this lamp can only be fitted for a Star Wars-worthy room. In fact, because it's so simplistic it's also extremely versatile. The outer layer around the bulb is quite large, drawing the eye towards the center and accentuating the colors of the light, which come in yellow, red and beige. Mood by Annarosa Romano and Bruno Menegon will adjust the ambiance of any room, and with a name like that the designers should be happy with this result. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.5/10 - Popularity: 23% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Circular Lighting Design:** The spherical shape of Mood lamp presents an opportunity for innovative lighting design with a minimalist-chic aesthetic. - **Versatile Lighting Fixtures:** The simplicity of Mood lamp allows for its use in a wide range of interior design styles and settings, creating opportunities for versatile lighting fixtures. - **Accentuated Light Colors:** The large outer layer of Mood lamp enhances the colors of the light, leading to opportunities for accentuating and exploring various color schemes in lighting design. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Interior Design:** The minimalist-chic design of Mood lamp caters to the interior design industry, providing opportunities for unique lighting solutions in residential and commercial spaces. - **Furniture:** Mood lamp's spherical shape and versatile nature make it an interesting addition to the furniture industry, offering opportunities for innovative lighting fixtures that also serve as decorative elements. - **Lighting:** Mood lamp showcases potential for disruptive innovation within the lighting industry by introducing a minimalist approach combined with accentuated light colors and customizable ambiance. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Solar System-Inspired Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cosmooval.md) - [Spaced-Themed LED Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moon-room.md) - [Mushroom-Inspired Sleek Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunar-lamp-concept.md) - [Astro-Inspired Sculptural Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elara-suspension.md) - [3D-Printed Mood Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbyt.md) - [Moon-Inspired Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lua.md) - [Calming Orb Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orb-lamp1.md) - [Shape-Shifting Modular Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodi.md) - [Textured Moon-Inspired Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-phase-lamp.md)
