# Half-Finished Statues Bruno Catalano's Travelers Statues Illustrate the Wear and Tear of Travel By Michael Hines | Published 2010-05-13 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bruno-catalano References: [amusingplanet](http://www.amusingplanet.com/2010/05/bruno-catalanos-half-sculptured.html) & [brunocatalano](http://www.brunocatalano.com/) At first glance, Bruno Catalano's 'Travelers' [statues appear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-into-darkness) to be [floating in mid air](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/floating-bench). If you look a little closer, however, you'll notice that the tops and bottoms of these statues are connected. And if you look closer with your heart, you may notice something else. To me, Bruno Catalano's statues showcase the physical wear and tear of traveling. Constantly going from place to place can break a man down inside and out, and these statues illustrate that brilliantly.
