# Welded HorseshoeThrones Bruce White Transforms Hooves into Functional Chairs By Matt Ho | Published 2011-01-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bruce-white References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/reclaimed-horseshoe-chairs/#more-66003) & [ahalife](http://www.ahalife.com/archive/product/139/horseshoe-chairs/) I'm loving these Bruce White horseshoe chairs because they look incredibly badass. A skilled craftsman, White collects reclaimed horseshoes and transforms them into functional chairs. Each furniture piece has been painstakingly handcrafted and welded together to create these one-of-a-kind thrones. There are two versions available, a chair and a rocker, depending on personal preference. Bruce White makes these chairs on a made-to-order request and they come in red, black, and green. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.7/10 - Popularity: 7% | Activity: 35% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Upcycled Furniture:** Opportunity for businesses to create unique and environmentally-friendly furniture by repurposing materials like reclaimed horseshoes. - **Artisanal Crafts:** A growing trend in handmade furniture, offering businesses the chance to showcase skilled craftsmanship and unique designs. - **Functional Sculptures:** The fusion of art and functionality presents opportunities for businesses to create visually striking furniture pieces that serve a practical purpose. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can explore using reclaimed materials and skilled craftsmanship to create high-quality, eco-friendly furniture pieces. - **Home Decor:** Businesses in the home decor industry can offer customers unique and eye-catching furniture options that serve as conversation pieces in their homes. - **Art and Design:** Artists and designers can explore the potential of functional sculptures, merging art and furniture to create captivating pieces that push the boundaries of traditional design. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Waste-Incorporated Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-chairs.md) - [Sneaker-Inspired Chair Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/markvonrama.md) - [Recycled Dynamic Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bultan-chair.md) - [Branded Superhero Gaming Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/noblechairs-hero-iron-man-chair.md) - [Sleek Steel Structural Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/combchair.md) - [Seashell-Inspired Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/traditional-and-digital-techniques.md) - [Horse-Inspired Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-falabella-stool.md) - [Simplistic Seating Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hipstool.md) - [Sentimental Smooth Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chopper-chair.md)
