Designed by João Teixeira, the sofa is equipped with a swiveling desk component that will enable a laptop or paperwork to be easily positioned right in front of the sitter. This would provide enhanced productivity capabilities and comfort for professionals working from home in need of an alternative place to get work done away from a conventional desk. The 'Brick' sofa accommodates the modern needs of sitters further by integrating a power supply into the armrest for powering up a smartphone or laptop alike. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 10% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Versatile Home Office Furniture:** Design and produce furniture solutions that cater to the increasing demand for versatile home office settings. - **Integrated Power Solutions:** Incorporate power sources into furniture designs to cater to professionals who require prolonged use of electronic devices. - **Productivity-enhancing Furniture:** Create furniture that aims to improve the ergonomics and productivity of individuals who work remotely. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Manufacturers can tap into the growing trend of versatile and functional furniture pieces for remote work settings. - **Tech Accessories:** Produce charging ports and adapters that are compatible with furniture pieces such as the 'Brick' sofa to cater to individuals in need of prolonged use of electronic devices. - **Home Improvement:** Market DIY and professional home improvement solutions that target the home office setup market, offering tips and tricks for structuring and improving at-home office spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Practical Rotating Wall Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revolver-wallmounted-desk.md) - [Hybrid Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adaptable-sofa-system.md) - [Cocoon-Like Multifunctional Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/usofa.md) - [Stacked Brick-Like Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-brick-modular-sofa.md) - [Stylishly Functional Yellow Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yellow-chair.md) - [Height-Adjustable Laptop Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/couch-and-laptop-table.md) - [Sliding Desk-Equipped Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/boomerang-bed.md) - [Folding Multifunctional Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ignite-desk.md) - [Fold-Down Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/workspace-furniture-solution.md)
