Indeed, the [minimal, modular design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-sliding-system) offered by the Breffo Gumstick that acts as a [stand for any handheld device](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twelve-south-curve-nano) is currently absent, despite the fast growth of the handheld device market. The moldable rectangular stick can easily be bent into any shape and uphold a device, with its strong, malleable design ensuring that the device stays in shape. Some shapes that the Breffo Gumstick can be turned into include a S-shape, with the large curve acting as the phone's backrest, while by laying it down facing up, the phone can be slipped in between a curve to adjust the angle at which the device stands upright. When finished, the Breffo Gumstick can be easily squashed and slipped into a pocket or bag for [easy portability](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kickout-grip-stand). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.6/10 - Popularity: 69% | Activity: 60% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modular Smartphone Accessories:** The fast growth of the handheld device market offers an opportunity for developing modular designs for accessories like the Breffo Gumstick. - **Moldable Materials:** The malleable design of the Breffo Gumstick presents an opportunity for exploring the potential of other moldable materials in device stands and accessories. - **Flexible Device Display:** The Breffo Gumstick's ability to hold a smartphone in various positions highlights the potential for developing more flexible device displays. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Smartphone Accessories:** The Breffo Gumstick provides an opportunity to disrupt the smartphone accessories industry with its innovative design. - **Moldable Materials Manufacturing:** The use of moldable materials, like the Gumstick's design, presents an opportunity for innovation in the manufacturing industry. - **Flexible Display Technology:** The potential for flexible device displays, highlighted by the Gumstick's design, presents an opportunity for innovation in the display technology industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Gripping Smartphone Mount Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kling-kong-smartphone-kickstand.md) - [Multi-Functional Smartphone Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meboge.md) - [Cable Storage Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hold-the-phone-stand.md) - [Adaptable Magnetic Smartphone Grips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popsockets-kickout-grip-and-stand.md) - [Origami-Style Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moft-snap-phone-tripod-stand.md) - [Pocket-Sized Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mophie-portable-magnetic-stand.md) - [Multi-Purpose Computer Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/computer-stand3.md) - [Hex Wrench Smartphone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/workingmans-sword.md) - [Versatile EDC Phone Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acestand-2.md)
