This discreet gadget makes it easy for you to test your breath; simply pop the top and blow into the front, and within five seconds the screen will show a rating from 0-6. The higher the number, the worse your breath smells. By detecting the acid-volatile and the carbonate gas through the [internal sensor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mouthio), the Breath Checker can save you from embarrassing situations. Since it is so small you can carry it around with you everywhere and no one will notice what you’re doing. Next time you’re meeting new people or catching up with friends, have them remember you by your smile and not by bad breath. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.9/10 - Popularity: 7% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Bad-breath Detection Technology:** Opportunity to innovate with wearable bad-breath detecting devices that are more discreet and can be integrated with personal health trackers. - **Smart Healthcare Tech:** With rise in adoption of smart medical devices, there's an opportunity to integrate bad-breath detection technology into healthcare devices, allowing people to monitor their oral hygiene among other metrics. - **Personal Grooming Tech:** An opportunity to create personal grooming tools that integrate bad-breath detection technology, such as toothbrushes that can detect bad breath and provide real-time feedback to users. ### Who This Affects Most - **Oral Hygiene Industry:** Bad breath detecting gadgets provide an opportunity for growth of the oral hygiene industry as consumers become more conscious of their oral health. - **Personal Wellness Industry:** Incorporation of bad-breath detection technology in personal wellness products like fitness trackers can create a new category of health monitoring. - **Consumer Electronics Industry:** An opportunity for the consumer electronics industry to create and market new portable, discreet gadgets that can detect bad breath, as personal hygiene becomes increasingly important to consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Unconventional Breath Fresheners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breath-fresheners.md) - [Noninvasive Breathing Trackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-breath-analysis.md) - [Eco-Friendly Breath Fresheners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/extrastrength-breath-freshener.md) - [Functional Breath Mints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nude-mints.md) - [Teeth-Whitening Breath Strips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/teeth-whitening-breath-strips.md) - [Probiotic Breath Sprays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceelike.md) - [Zinc-Infused Breath Mints](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breathrox.md) - [Elevated Oral Care Sessions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breathapy.md) - [Luxe Oral Sprays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxurious-oral-spray.md)
