PETA is asking Ben and Jerrys to use breast milk as a substitute for the dairy in their ice cream, one of many [crazy publicity stunts](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peta-protests) by the animal rights activists.

Tracy Reiman, PETA's executive vice president, sent a letter to Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield regarding the human dairy campaign today.

"The fact that human adults consume huge quantities of [dairy products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peanut-butter-ice-cream) made from milk that was meant for a baby cow just doesn't make sense," Tracy Reiman said. "Everyone knows that 'the breast is best,' so [Ben & Jerry's](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ben-jerrys-ice-cream-bars) could do consumers and cows a big favor by making the switch to breast milk."

Ben and Jerry's answered with, "We applaud PETA's novel approach to bringing attention to an issue, but we believe a mother's milk is best used for her child."
