The Breakstones True Love ad lures consumers in with the universal idea of wooing someone. Featuring a tub of sour cream and a potato, the commercial personifies inanimate objects, instilling in them feelings of unrequited love.

Making a reference to the classic movie Say Anything, the Breakstones True Love ad not only speaks to a wide audience with its romantic tones, but also to an older audience familiar with the John Cusack flick. Using a boombox to announce his love for the potato, the tub of sour cream plays a romantic tune to go along with his confession.

Illustrating that the two are meant to be and go together perfectly, the Breakstones True Love ad is a romance story fit for people and food alike.
