# Floating Box Pavilions The Brazilian Pavilion by Be.bo + Mira Takes on a Rectangular Shape By Jamie Danielle Munro | Published 2014-04-05 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brazilian-pavilion References: [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/architecture/brazilian-pavilion-milan-expo-2015-be-bo-mira-04-05-2014/) The Brazilian Pavilion for the 2015 Milan Expo has been proposed by Be.bo + Mira. The duo set forth a concept that looks like a [floating box structure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aquapraca). DesignBoom details the idiosyncrasies of the proposed design: "the basic form is embellished with an abstract surface, merging with the [natural landscape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-landscape). The structure aims to emphasize the country as a major player in the production and distribution of food." As such the creators wanted to keep the design close to the soil, emphasizing Brazil's roots in agriculture, while still producing a high-tech piece of architecture that will impress people coming into the country. The design looks extremely futuristic, and hopefully it will get picked up for the 2015 Milan Expo. Judging from these photos, the chances should be quite high up there.
