This [Brazilian home in São Paulo](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/copan-apartment) takes advantage of the great outdoors with plenty of space for outdoor dining, recreation and relaxation. Designed by Flavio Castro, the Planalto House features a mostly enclosed second floor that's stacked atop a partially open first floor.

Despite having some parts of the home that are fully open and exposed to the elements, the open-air parts of the home are fully private and protected from the surrounding neighborhood. One of the best features of the home is the [outdoor kitchen and dining area](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anchor-house) on the bottom floor, which allows the family to soak up good eats and good weather all year long. In areas that do need some closing off, spaces are partitioned with [sliding glass doors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baan-oo) to maintain a seamless connection between the indoor and outdoor areas.
