It brings a tree-like aesthetic to the home in a very practical and artistic way. Yet what makes this branch railing even more impressive is how it does so in such a contemporary way. Although utterly enchanting as though straight out of a fairy tale story, the branch railing is simple enough that it isn't a jarring addition to more modern homes. Designed by interior designer Alessandro Marchelli, it lives in a residence based in Monferrato, Italy, and provides a finishing touch to an austere space accented with [raw wooden beams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wooden-annex). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 32% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Nature-inspired Decor:** Creating practical and artistic nature-inspired decor to bring a bit of the outdoors into people's homes. - **Branch-like Structure Designs:** Incorporating branch-like designs into architecture and furniture to create unique and visually stunning pieces. - **Contemporary Artistry:** Merging traditional and natural elements with contemporary design to create aesthetically pleasing and functional household items. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Opportunities for designers to create unique and innovative pieces that fuse functionality with natural elements. - **Architecture:** Exploring the incorporation of nature-inspired design elements into buildings and structures for a modern twist. - **Furniture Design:** Creating unconventional furniture that incorporates nature-inspired elements for a unique and artistic touch. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Living Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive.md) - [Forest-Inspired Wooden Cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hayashi-cabinet.md) - [Nature-Inspired Modern Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/imprint-collection.md) - [Tree Branch-Formed Lighting Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/celestial-attraction.md) - [Tree-Intertwined Metal Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tenir-bench.md) - [Handle-Equipped Planter Shelves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-plant-shelf.md) - [Sculptural Rattan Interiors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rattan-sculpture.md) - [Sprouting Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-chair-on-grass.md) - [Nature-Inspired Urban Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kriskadecor-1.md)
