# Smart Seasonings Spice Up Dull Meals With These Brain-Shaped Salt and Pepper Shakers By Cowbag | Published 2009-01-31 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brainy-way-to-season-your-food-anatomical-salt-pepper-shakers References: [ilovebadthings](http://www.ilovebadthings.com/2009/01/brain.html) This is a great piece of anatomical design from Ankul Assavaviboonpan: anatomically-correct ceramic salt and pepper dispensers to add some gore to your table. They're anatomical in every aspect of design and nature. The left brain dispenses salt and wisdom, while the right side reasons with you that less is best and adds a dash of creativity. As with all my favorite pieces of design, these salt and pepper shakers fit perfectly into your hand for anatomically-correct condiment dispensing. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 47% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Anatomical Design:** Opportunities for creative and unique designs inspired by anatomical shapes and motifs. - **Functional Decor:** Incorporating practical functions into home decor products for added convenience and efficiency. - **Humor in Home Goods:** Bringing humor and whimsy into everyday household items to add a touch of fun and personality. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** Embracing unique design elements to add value to functional household products. - **Kitchenware:** Innovating traditional kitchen tools to incorporate added functionality and creative designs. - **Gifts and Souvenirs:** Making everyday products stand out by incorporating humor and whimsical elements that appeal to consumers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Functional Table Seasonings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-seasonings.md) - [MSG Shaker Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shaker-sets.md) - [Tabletop Seed Shakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/munchy-seeds-need-seeds.md) - [Spherical Mortar & Pestles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spicy-mortar-and-pestle.md) - [Salt-Mimicking Kitchenwares](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electric-bowl-and-spoon.md) - [Contemporary Pepper Grinder Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zjddg.md) - [Warm Wooden Condiment Grinders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/michele-de-lucchi.md) - [Creative Dipping Tableware](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dip-sea.md) - [Premium Peppercorn Seasonings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-peppercorn.md)
