# Einstein Brain Lamps This Einstein Brain-in-a-Jar Lamp is Handmade and Very Freaky By Thomas Wade-West | Published 2013-10-01 | Updated 2013-10-04 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brain-lamp References: [thegreenhead](http://www.thegreenhead.com/2013/10/einsteins-brain-in-jar-lamp.php) For those looking to substitute their current lamp with something a lot weirder, definitely consider [this Einstein brain lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pond-lamp). The lamp is created by the quirky folks over at Frankenstein Labs. This [handmade lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nola-lamp) includes a life-sized brain that floats within a thick glass jar. The actual light is installed in the bottom of the lamp, so that it illuminates the brain (which is a beautiful blood-red color). The "brain activity" gauge is set at the bottom for added affect. The lamp takes a 25-watt bulb to operate and its cord stretches to 49 inches. This strange lamp reminds us all of eerie lab-like science experiments; perhaps you would like to illuminate your own laboratory? Check out the Einstein Brain Lamp if so. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.7/10 - Popularity: 28% | Activity: 44% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Bizarre](https://www.trendhunter.com/bizarre) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Quirky Lamps:** A trend of incorporating unconventional designs and themes into lamps, like the Einstein brain lamp, is disrupting the traditional lighting industry. - **Unique Home Decor:** The rise in demand for unique and unusual home decor items, such as the handmade Einstein brain lamp, presents an opportunity for innovative designers and manufacturers. - **Science-inspired Lighting:** The combination of science and design, as seen in the Einstein brain lamp, is a disruptive trend in the lighting market that appeals to science enthusiasts and curious individuals. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Lighting:** The unconventional and science-inspired designs, like the Einstein brain lamp, create opportunities for innovation in the lighting industry. - **Home Decor:** The demand for unique and unusual home decor items, such as the handmade Einstein brain lamp, offers a growth opportunity for designers and manufacturers in the home decor industry. - **Science and Education:** The popularity of science-inspired products like the Einstein brain lamp opens up opportunities for companies in the science and education industry to create innovative and engaging learning tools. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Quirky Common Item Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-lighter.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spacetime-transformation-lamp.md) - [Ethereal Space-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wormhole-table-lamp.md) - [Futuristic LED Lava Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonside-lamp-one.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Clipping Strap-Free Headlamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebo-einstein-cap-light.md) - [Fruit-Inspired Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/banana-lamp.md) - [Halloween-Ready Dinosaur Ambience Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brachio-lamp.md) - [Human-Made Lamp Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/i-am-not-a-robot-lamp-collection.md)
