Clara del Portillo's idea involves a [prefabricated and modular method assembly](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-bv-system) that allows you to choose the proportions and the pieces that will make up the space. Each narrow unit can accommodate a [shower, a toilet, a sink](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/icon-technologies) or a chair on either side for a maximum of two fixtures in every square unit. These are designed to be [combined in series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arca) and terminated with door and wall components to enclose the Box Bathroom. It can be built as compact or spacious as one desires, accommodating a single or multiple users simultaneously. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.6/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Modular Design:** The Box Bathroom concept demonstrates the potential for modular design in various applications, allowing for customization and flexibility. - **Prefabricated Assembly:** The prefabricated and modular method of assembly used in the Box Bathroom concept opens up opportunities for efficient construction and installation processes. - **Space Maximization:** The Box Bathroom concept addresses the challenge of maximizing space in various settings, presenting a disruptive solution for design and architecture. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** The Box Bathroom concept offers innovative possibilities for interior designers to create flexible and personalized spaces in homes and apartments. - **Construction:** The prefabricated assembly method used in the Box Bathroom concept can revolutionize the construction industry by streamlining the building process and reducing costs. - **Hospitality:** Hotels and public buildings can benefit from the space-maximizing features of the Box Bathroom concept, enhancing user convenience and optimizing layout efficiency. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modular Bathroom Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prefabricated-pods.md) - [Prefabricated Bathroom Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozy-international.md) - [Utility-Focused Bathroom Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/showdown-system.md) - [Flexible Storage Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brickbox-modular-shelving.md) - [Removable Bathtub Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtrope.md) - [Singular Person Foldable Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-baby-box.md) - [Modular Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arca.md) - [Box-Like Innovative Apartment Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/innovative-apartment-design.md) - [Compact Portable Toilets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clesana-x1-camping-toilet.md)
