Boutte's paper collages are made up of thousands of strips of paper and often stand several feet tall. Boutte uses a variety of different types of paper for her art, including pages of old books and tracing paper. Boutte's paper collages made out of old novels are certainly a sight to see, but the best and brightest (literally) of Boutte's works are her color-popped collages made from painted tracing paper. These colorful portraits could easily be confused for [painted pieces of pop art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/painting-exhibition), which speaks to the quality of Boutte's work.
