The £6,500 chairs, which can also be used to [detect drugs and weapons](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drug-screening-system), have three [ultra-sensitive sensors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-body-scanner1) which can detect metal items as small as a pin, and will beep if the person has a foreign object hidden ‘behind the back door.' I say being scanned in a non-intrusive manner sounds far more appealing than being digitally probed! ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) > [Inventions](https://www.trendhunter.com/inventions) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Body Scanning Technology:** The development of body scanning technology can disrupt the security industry by providing non-intrusive methods of detecting concealed items. - **Prison Security Innovations:** The introduction of Body Orifice Security Scanners (BOSS) in prisons indicates a trend towards innovative solutions for preventing smuggling and enhancing security. - **Non-invasive Security Measures:** The use of butt scanning chairs showcases a growing trend of non-invasive security measures that maintain privacy while still ensuring safety. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Security Systems:** The implementation of butt scanning chairs presents an opportunity for security systems providers to develop innovative and highly accurate body scanning technologies. - **Prison Management:** The adoption of Body Orifice Security Scanners (BOSS) introduces disruptive innovations in prison management, improving the effectiveness of security protocols and preventing contraband smuggling. - **Law Enforcement Technology:** The use of body scanning technology highlights the need for law enforcement agencies to invest in advanced detection tools for detecting concealed items and enhancing security measures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Contraband-Detecting Robots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/narc-robot-concept.md) - [Weight Wellness Body Scanners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bodd.md) - [At-Home Health Scanners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/withings-body-scan.md) - [Health Tracker Toilet Clips](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/throne-one.md) - [3D Body Scanning Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/3d-body-scanning.md) - [AI-Powered Body Scanners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fitme-3d-body-scanner.md) - [AI-Powered Poop-Tracking Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tushy-launched-hindsight.md) - [Compact Body Cameras](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-body-camera.md) - [Mobile Security Assistants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spexor.md)
