Designed by Steve Gates, BottleLight looks like your typical cork, however the bottom half of the cork houses a super bright LED. You charge this LED via the USB plug concealed within the twist off cork. BottleLights takes about an hour to charge and last for roughly two and a half hours and can be used to transform virtually any bottle (liquor, wine or beer) into a beautiful lamp. Sometimes, companies make wine and liquor bottles that are to beautiful to throw away. Before, you might have held onto them and risk looking like a hoarder. But now with the BottleLight, you can turn them into useful and beautiful lamps that will give your room a cozy atmosphere. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 61% | Activity: 43% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Repurposing:** The trend of repurposing everyday items and waste materials to create new and innovative products. - **Sustainable Lighting:** The trend of using eco-friendly lighting solutions that reduce waste and energy consumption. - **Usb-charged Devices:** The trend of developing gadgets and devices that can be conveniently charged via USB ports. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The industry that offers opportunities to create innovative lighting solutions and repurposed home decor items. - **Wine and Spirits:** The industry that can explore innovative packaging designs and recycling solutions for empty bottles. - **Electronics:** The industry that can leverage USB charging technology to develop a wide range of portable and rechargeable devices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cork-Base Spinning Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spinmemo.md) - [Wine Bottle Cork Trimmers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qwikcork.md) - [Recycled Material Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cozy-cleo-lamp.md) - [Recycled Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nytt-lys-collection.md) - [Romantic Modern Lighting Sources](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wick-s.md) - [Aluminum Sparkling Wine Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceci-1938.md) - [Rechargeable Illuminating Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouquet.md) - [Fishnet-Made Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/philips-mycreation-droplet-lamp.md) - [Utensil Waste Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nytt-lys.md)
