The spirit was distilled in Spring 2017 at the [Bulleit Distilling Company](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bulleit) in Shelbyville, Kentucky, and aged for seven years. Bulleit Frontier Whiskey's new expression adheres to the strict standards of the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. The designation holds the spirit to a fairly high standard and makes the product highly appealing to whiskey enthusiasts seeking premium, well-crafted spirits. With a high-rye mash bill, the brand's inaugural Bottled-in-Bond bourbon offers a bold flavor profile featuring notes of spice, toasted oak, maple sweetness, and a smooth butterscotch finish. Bulleit Frontier Whiskey is making its Bottled-in-Bond bourbon available for a limited time, which enhances the appeal and collector's value of the offering. Jesse Damashek, Senior Vice President of [North American Whiskeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kathmandu-canada) at Diageo, emphasized the uniqueness of the spirit: "Bulleit Bottled-in-Bond is more than a celebration of craftsmanship, it’s a testament to our commitment to innovation and to showcasing the exceptional quality of whiskey crafted at our distillery in Shelbyville.” Image Credit: Bulleit Frontier Whiskey ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 32% | Freshness: 36% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Marketing](https://www.trendhunter.com/marketing) > [Branding](https://www.trendhunter.com/branding) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Premium Whiskey Collectibles:** Limited edition releases like Bulleit’s Bottled-in-Bond bourbon fuel demand among collectors seeking unique high-value spirits. - **Craftsmanship Celebrations:** Bulleit's emphasis on the strict Bottled-in-Bond standards highlights an industry trend towards showcasing craftsmanship and authenticity. - **Flavor Complexity in Spirits:** The bold and diverse taste profile of Bulleit’s new bourbon points to a growing consumer appetite for complex flavor experiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Spirits and Alcohol:** The introduction of Bottled-in-Bond bourbon adds a competitive edge in the premium segment of the spirits industry. - **Luxury Goods:** Limited releases of finely crafted whiskey underscore the intersection of the spirits industry with the luxury collectibles market. - **Tourism and Experience:** Bulleit’s emphasis on heritage and craftsmanship connects with growing consumer interest in immersive and educational distillery experiences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Extra-Dark Bourbon Whiskeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bulleit.md) - [Complex High-Rye Whiskeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bottled-in-bond.md) - [Super Premium Tennessee Whiskeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bonded-tennessee-whiskey.md) - [Scotch-Style American Whiskeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bulleit-american-single-malt.md) - [Ultra-Luxurious Bourbon Expressions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rolling-fork-spirits.md) - [Complex Batch Whiskeys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/redwood-empire.md) - [Highly Anticipated Bourbon Releases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rebel-bourbon.md) - [Limited-Production Bourbon Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/limitedproduction-bourbon.md) - [Premium Aged Bourbon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/limestone-branch-distillery.md)
