This [multifunctional surface](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookmarker-table) is both a table and a storage unit. The designers at Line Depping wanted to play with concepts such as order versus disorder, which led them to design a furniture piece that incorporates both ideas at once. The Borrod Table has a [storage compartment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taarof-table) that can be accessed through the counter's sliding top. This storage space consists of a yellow screen where users can easily keep their working materials, and thus, avoid untidy working stations. The Borrod Table is a useful desk that helps users work more efficiently and in an organized space. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 46% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multifunctional Furniture:** The Borrod Table highlights the trend of multifunctional furniture, offering both a workspace and a storage unit in one. - **Organizational Solutions:** The sliding storage surfaces of the Borrod Table address the need for organizational solutions in workspaces, minimizing clutter and creating tidy working stations. - **Incorporating Technology:** The yellow screen storage compartment of the Borrod Table incorporates technology, providing a modern approach to storing working materials. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** The Borrod Table showcases opportunities for innovative furniture designs that combine functionality and organization. - **Workspace Solutions:** The Borrod Table offers a disruptive innovation for workspace solutions, providing a sleek and efficient way to store and access working materials. - **Tech Integration:** The integration of technology in furniture design, as seen in the Borrod Table, presents disruptive innovation opportunities in the technology and furniture industries. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ergonomic Multi-Use Desk Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kabinett-desk.md) - [Minimalist Clutter-Free Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parallel-work-table.md) - [Modular Working Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-working-desk.md) - [Minimalist Demure Designer Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/backup-desk.md) - [Minimalist Storage-Friendly Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-bold-desk.md) - [Storage-Packed Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-x-shelf-x-self-table.md) - [Pocket Storage-Equipped Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-desk.md) - [Humorous Quick Cleanup Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-desk-concept.md) - [Sleek Storage-Packed Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threesix-desk.md)
