# Adaptably Illuminated Candelabras Borderline by Amaury Watine Accommodates Both Candles and LEDs By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-01-22 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/borderline-by-amaury-watine References: [designspotter](http://www.designspotter.com/product/2013/01/borderline.html) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/ultraconfidentiel) The common candelabrum is often only brought out when a certain soft ambience is desired. The versatile Borderline by Amaury Watine is not your usual [multi-candleholder](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alma-mater), for it allows you to swap candles out for lightbulbs or a number of other items. The tips of the object's branches might be [installed with LEDs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chant) to give a room brighter and more intense illumination. The light escapes from the ends, as one would expect, although it's not the gentle quality that one would be used to. The alternative is to change the heads of the offshoots by applying [circular plates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodi). These allow you to position slender tapers or thicker cylindrical candles instead. Interestingly, whether suspended or set up on a table, Borderline by Amaury Watine can display other items as well, such as pots of scented oils or even small sculptures. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.9/10 - Popularity: 46% | Activity: 4% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Versatile Candelabra Designs:** The Borderline candelabra by Amaury Watine demonstrates the trend of candelabra designs that can accommodate various lighting options. - **LED Integration in Lighting:** The use of LEDs in the Borderline candelabra highlights the trend of integrating LED technology in traditional lighting fixtures for brighter and more intense illumination. - **Multi-functional Decorative Products:** The Borderline candelabra exemplifies the trend of multi-purpose decorative items that can also display other items such as scented oils or small sculptures. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can explore innovative candelabra designs that offer versatility in lighting options, like the Borderline candelabra. - **Lighting:** The lighting industry can capitalize on the trend of integrating LED technology in traditional lighting fixtures, as demonstrated in the Borderline candelabra. - **Gifts & Accessories:** The gifts and accessories industry can tap into the demand for multi-functional decorative products, similar to the Borderline candelabra, that can showcase different items. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Warm Ambient Candle Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reflet.md) - [Modernized Candelabra Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woaw-collection-by-nader-gamma.md) - [Stone Cube Candle Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/qub-candlestick.md) - [Vintage-Inspired Candle Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintageinspired-candle-lamps.md) - [Architectural Candle Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/core-candle-holder.md) - [Modular Wax Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-soft-solids.md) - [Plant-Based Wax Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soft-solids-1.md) - [Luxe Candle-Melting Lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/infra-luna-20.md) - [Multifunctional C-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/clamp.md)
