# Book-Storing Side Tables The 'Bookgroove' Bookrack by Deniz Aktay is Multipurpose By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2022-08-16 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookgroove-bookrack References: [yankodesign](https://www.yankodesign.com/2022/08/15/bookgroove-is-a-unique-bookshelf-and-side-table-in-one/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=bookgroove-is-a-unique-bookshelf-and-side-table-in-one) The conceptual 'Bookgroove' bookrack is a sculpted piece of furniture designed by Deniz Aktay that would pull double-duty in a living space to accommodate the needs of inhabitants. The furniture piece maintains a blockish design that's circular at first glance, but reveals a J-shaped cutout on the side for storing a wide range of books and novels. The top section of the shelf provides a spot to place a drink or additional decor to further enhance the functionality of the furniture piece. The conceptual 'Bookgroove' bookrack provides an eye-catching way to keep books stored and is great for homes where efficiency is of the essence. The hybrid furniture piece also takes a decidedly neater approach to book storage by placing them vertically instead horizontally. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 7.1/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Multipurpose Furniture:** The 'Bookgroove' Bookrack is a prime example of furniture that adds functionality to a space. - **Vertical Book Storage:** The 'Bookgroove' Bookrack offers a neater approach to book storage by placing books vertically. - **Sculptural Design:** The 'Bookgroove' Bookrack adds an artistic element to a living space with its sculptural design. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture Industry:** The 'Bookgroove' Bookrack offers an innovative solution to the traditional bookshelf, opening up opportunities for furniture manufacturers to create multi-purpose pieces. - **Interior Design Industry:** The sculptural design of the 'Bookgroove' Bookrack offers a unique opportunity for interior designers to add both form and function to a living space. - **Home Organization Industry:** The 'Bookgroove' Bookrack provides a neater approach to book storage and an opportunity for home organization companies to offer alternative solutions to traditional bookshelves. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tubular Literature Storage Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interspace-magazine-rack.md) - [Bookcase-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/low-wall-side-table.md) - [Minimalist Book Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-coffee-table.md) - [Bookshelf-Incorporated Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/overlap-table.md) - [Personality-Enhancing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ordo-book.md) - [Asymmetrical Storage Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crossbred-side-table.md) - [Twisting CGI-Designed Sideboards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookscrew-sideboard.md) - [Book-Holding Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cowboy-sidetable.md) - [Curvaceous Animalistic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookpet-coffee-table.md)
