The Bookdesk integrates the functions of a [work station and a small shelf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-shelf-pro), helping you to separate the task at hand from the resources that you'll reference every now and then. Designer Damien Van Durme collaborated with Matthieu Serck to produce the modern office setup. The Bookdesk collection comprises a chair and a table, both with smooth laminated surfaces and four wooden legs. What's notable about the latter object is its [sloping tabletop](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lazy-concept) that's ideal for writing on, and the crooked trough along its back edge that encourages the [neat storage and arrangement of hardcovers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/twoinone-billy-model). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.2/10 - Popularity: 27% | Activity: 2% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Multifunctional Workspace:** The trend of combining different work functionalities into one workspace provides opportunities for creating innovative and efficient office setups. - **Sloping Tabletop Design:** The trend of using sloping tabletops in furniture design offers disruptive innovation opportunities for creating ergonomically efficient work stations. - **Integrated Storage Solutions:** The trend of integrating storage solutions into furniture designs presents opportunities to create organized and clutter-free work environments. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The furniture manufacturing industry can explore the potential of incorporating innovative features such as sloping tabletops and integrated storage solutions in their products. - **Office Supplies:** Companies in the office supplies industry can develop and market multifunctional workstations that cater to the needs of modern professionals. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can tap into the trend of creating workspace designs that prioritize functionality and organization by incorporating sloping tabletops and integrated storage solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Ultra-Chic Wall Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wall-desks.md) - [Rolling Leather Bookshelf Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stretch-desk.md) - [Sleek Storage-Packed Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threesix-desk.md) - [Ergonomic Multi-Use Desk Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kabinett-desk.md) - [Single-Piece Construction Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nook-desk.md) - [Knick-Knack Storage Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spiky-desk-concept.md) - [Book-Storing Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bookgroove-bookrack.md) - [Minimalist Storage-Paired Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diag-desk.md) - [Minimalist Modular Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/console-desk.md)
